The Union City girls claimed the Region 7-A championship last night after defeating Lake County 54-43.

The Union City girls will get to play at home in the Substate game Saturday night and will face either Middleton or Madison Academic who play tonite.

In 7-AA boys Jackson Liberty defeated Bolivar 59 to 53 while South Side defeated Haywood County 79 to 76.

Also last night, TCA defeated B T W 54 to 49 while Memphis Academy of Health Sciences defeated Riverside 55 to 51.

The 7-AA Regional girls basketball championship at Dyersburg

Westview will play Covington. Air time is 6:40 on 101.3 and 104.9

At the First Region basketball tournament last night at Murray State.

Graves County defeated Marshal County 58 to 44

Lone Oak defeated Fulton City 67 to 33.

Tonite the First Region game

Graves County will play Lone Oak

Hickman County will play Murray.

Tennessee defeated Florida 64 to 58 last night in Knoxville behind Jordan McCrae’s 27 points . The Vols improve 17 and 10 and 9 and 6 in the SEC. This marks the first season since 1964 that Tennessee and Florida are not playing each other twice in the regular season.
